Care Games for Android: Virtual Pets and Talking Friends

What a care game actually asks from you

A care game gives you one small character who is always a little hungry, sleepy or bored. You feed it, wash it, put it to bed and watch it react. There is no enemy and no fail screen, only needs bars that drift down while you are away. It is a pocket pet that fits into a two minute break.

Inside the tag the games split by flavor: talking characters with voice repeating and room decorating, and Pou style pets closer to a classic tamagotchi. The simulation and casual collections overlap with this one, and younger players usually end up in kids games.

• My Talking Angela 2: a fashion minded virtual cat with outfits, rooms and mini games
• My Talking Tom 2: the talking cat you look after, dress up and entertain with simple games
• My Pocket Pony: a virtual pony you raise and look after day by day
• Pou: the alien pet that popularized the feed, wash and play loop
• Bubbu: a small pet to feed, clean and entertain

• My Talking Hank: the dog from the Talking Tom family with his own rooms and activities

How to choose one

Decide whether you want a pet that talks or one that just lives in a room. Talking games are livelier but heavier, with more ads between sessions. Simple pets are calmer. Also check how the game treats absence: some show sad faces, others just pause, and that matters if you play in short bursts.

Before you install

Look at the Android version and file size on the card, and keep free space for extra data. Most run without a connection, but the first launch may want internet for ads. MOD builds typically unlock coins and gems; they are tied to one app version, so installing over a newer copy can fail or reset your save. Children should play with an adult nearby because of in-game shops. Browse all games, MOD APKs or offline games.
