Personalization Apps for Android: Launchers, Widgets, Wallpapers

Four jobs hiding under one label
Personalization on Android splits into a few separate jobs: replacing the home screen with a launcher, building widgets, changing wallpapers and sound, and tweaking small system details such as emoji or the edge of the screen. Mixing them up is how people end up with three launchers and no clear look. The list below is grouped by that job, and the customization and wallpaper tags go deeper on single areas.
Apps in this tag
- Smart Launcher 6 Mod: a home screen replacement, listed with Pro unlocked
- Apex Launcher: a long-standing launcher for rearranging icons and grids
- KWGT Kustom Widget Pro Mod: a widget builder where you design your own home screen widgets, listed as Pro unlocked
- Wallcraft Mod: a wallpaper app, listed with the subscription unlocked
- Themepack, App Icons, Widgets Mod: an icon and widget pack for restyling the whole screen, listed with Premium unlocked
- Muviz Edge Mod: an edge visualizer effect for the screen border, listed as Pro unlocked
- iOS Emojis For Android: an emoji style swap for people who prefer the iPhone look
Notice that the shelf also contains a city builder and other items that only share the tag. Ignore those unless you want them.
How to choose a look
Begin with the launcher, because widgets and icon packs depend on it. If you like tinkering, pair a launcher with a widget builder. If you want something quick, take a theme pack and a wallpaper app. Heavy live effects can cost battery, so judge a setup after a normal day, not after five minutes. The apps section has more, and photo editors help when you want to make your own wallpaper.
Before you install
Check the minimum Android version, since launchers and widget tools interact with system features that differ between releases. Icon packs and wallpaper apps download images, so expect an internet connection and some storage use. In MOD builds the Pro or Premium unlock normally opens paid packs and removes ads, but licence checks and cloud wallpaper libraries may refuse to load on a mismatched version. Set your old launcher aside as a fallback rather than uninstalling it right away.
