Shooter Games for Android: FPS, Space and Sniper APKs

Not all shooters play the same
The shooter tag covers very different games. Some are fast competitive matches against real players, others are single-player missions with a sniper rifle, and a few are arcade space blasters that you can play with one thumb. Knowing which flavor you want saves a lot of wasted downloads. For first-person matches specifically, see FPS, and for long-range work head to sniper games.
- Critical Ops: a competitive first-person shooter built around team matches.
- Sausage Man: a cartoon battle royale where the fighters are sausages.
- Chicken Gun: a multiplayer shooter in which you play an armed chicken.
- Hitman Sniper: mission-based sniping from the Hitman universe.
- Zombie Age 3: a zombie shooter where you clear waves of undead.
- Space Shooter: Galaxy Attack: an arcade space shooter with ship upgrades.
- Mech Arena: team battles fought with giant robots.
How to pick a shooter that fits your phone and your habits
Ask three questions. First, do you want to play online? Competitive titles reward practice and fast reflexes, but they need a steady connection and punish lag. If your signal is unreliable, choose a campaign or arcade game and look through offline games. Second, how do you like to control things? A touch screen handles an arcade space ship well, but precise aiming in a first-person game is easier with a larger screen and adjustable sensitivity. Third, how long are your sessions? Battle royale rounds take a while, while a sniper mission or an arcade level lasts minutes. Fans of last-one-standing rounds should also check battle royale.
What to check before you install
Look at the minimum Android version and the download size on each card page, since 3D shooters can ask for a lot of storage and memory. Some games download extra data on first launch, so keep Wi-Fi handy and leave free space.
MOD versions of single-player titles often unlock things like currency or upgrades, which is fine for casual play. Online shooters are different. The game checks your client against its servers, so a modified build may fail to connect or get your account banned. If you care about the account, install the original release. For other ideas browse all games or the wider MOD section.
