Why turn based combat still works on a phone

How to choose a turn based RPG

Look at the battle system first. A good one has meaning in its choices: elements that counter each other, skills with cooldowns, or items that change the plan. If every fight is just pressing attack, the genre loses its point. Next, check progression. Do you grow monsters through levels, evolution or equipment, and does the game let you rebuild a team if you made a mistake? Finally, see how the game handles repetition.
