Privacy Apps for Android: VPNs, Vaults and App Lockers

What is in this privacy collection

This tag is not one type of app, and it is better to say so upfront. The list mixes a calculator-style photo vault, a launcher, and several VPN clients. They solve different problems, so decide what you want to protect first. If you are after broader protection tools, the security tag is the next stop, and the VPN service tag goes deeper on tunnels alone.

How to pick the right tool for the job

Sort the cards by task. If the worry is someone glancing through your gallery, take the vault and locker. If the worry is public Wi-Fi or a blocked site, take a VPN. A launcher will not hide your traffic at all, so do not expect it to.

For VPNs, look at how the app is funded. A free client has to pay for servers somehow, through ads, limits, or other arrangements, so read the permissions and the description.

Check this before installing

Look at the minimum Android version on the page and compare it with your phone. Vault and locker apps often ask for storage access, which is reasonable but worth a conscious yes. VPN apps show a system prompt to create a VPN connection, which is normal.

With the MOD build, such as the premium unlocked Turbo VPN, expect locked features to be open, but a VPN needs working servers, and the server side is not something a patched file controls. Never put banking logins through a client you cannot vouch for.

Always back up photos before moving them into a vault. If the app is removed or its data is cleared, hidden files can be hard to recover. For more installs of this kind, browse all apps, read the guides, or check the MOD section.
